Teams Played For: DCRG's Scare Force One, CRG's Debutante Brawlers

Favorite Surface: polished concrete
Why I Became Involved: I've played sports my whole life. After college I had trouble finding an athletic organization I could get excited about. My options were pick up games or "co-ed" rec leagues (where the boys did most of the playing). I missed playing a competitive sport where my gender wasn't seen as a handicap. A friend handed me a derby flier and I showed up at the next practice.
Why I Skate: It gives me an opportunity to play a competitive sport as an adult. Plus we get to skate for bigger crowds than my college basketball team ever drew.
Embarrasing Moment: Racing at an open skate a few years back, I tripped myself coming into the finish line and slid across on my elbow. A sizable chunk of skin never made it. I got a soda coupon in consolation.
Favorite Derby Memory: Helping Scare Force One take the DCRG championship 2 years running.
Bad Habit: injuring myself
Derby Heroes: CRG All-Stars. DCRG Commanders in Briefs.
